Our Story

In 1914 my grandfather, Ardash Agajanian, came to America from the village of Moush, Armenia and worked at the original Mission Bell Winery in Madera, California.  He planted the family’s first vineyards there in 1922.  

 

Today, our family continues to produce and procure premium wine grapes.  We are committed to growing traditional old-world varieties while using new world technology which enables us to produce wine of the finest quality.  I select only optimum grapes from the most elite California vineyards to create my Private Selection.

The Sailing Ship on our label was an original piece initially painted by my father, Joseph Agajanian.  It is a reflection of the tremendous sacrifice and struggle my forefathers endured in their search for freedom here in the United States.  May God bless America and all the best to you and your family.
